Dominique’s innovative 3-D Areola restoration treatment has helped thousands of women worldwide after breast cancer surgery. Her ground-breaking technique, NanoColor Infusion, which creates a realistic-looking areola with the illusion of nipple protrusion, provides an esthetic alternative to women who have had mastectomies and breast reconstruction.

Every year, 250,000 American women receive breast cancer diagnoses. With lumpectomies and new, nipple-sparing surgical techniques, more women will keep their nipples, but those who require mastectomies will lose them in surgery. In 2011 alone, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more than 96,000 breast cancer survivors had reconstructive surgery following their mastectomies. In such surgery, breasts are shaped by implants, expanders, or transferred tissue. Women may also choose to undergo nipple reconstruction surgery, which employs a skin graft to recreate the appearance of the areola. However, nipples created in the operating room lack sensation and function, and many survivors choose to forgo additional surgery.

Women coping with illness or disfigurement often lose confidence and self-esteem, feeling like an essential part of their femininity has been taken away. By restoring the physical appearance lost in surgery, Dominique’s treatment offers a long-term solution without further surgical intervention. The realistic results provide a profound emotional boost, counter the psychological trauma of an altered body, and eliminate the constant, physical reminder of the medical ordeal.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

DOES IT HURT ?

A topical anesthetic ointment is applied to the area to numb the skin and make the treatment comfortable.

HOW LONG AFTER SURGERY DO I HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE GETTING THE TREATMENT ?

It takes at least 6-8 months for your tissue to heal after surgery. During your consultation with Dominique, she will evaluate your scar and skin, then determine the appropriate time to begin treatment.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE  ?

Although immediate results will be visible upon your first treatment, creating the illusion of protrusion is an intricate, painstaking process, requiring 2 or 3 visits to achieve soft and natural results. Each session is designed to perfect the design as well as correct asymmetry.

WILL I HAVE A LOT OF DOWN TIME ?

As NanoColor Infusion is a non-invasive procedure, there is little to no bleeding, no swelling, and no pain. You will be able to go right back to your daily routine.
